Dear Fellow FJA Members,
The recent earthquake in Haiti has caused an incredible amount of devastation, destruction and loss of life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the earthquake and their extended families.
This may be the biggest humanitarian crisis that any of us will see in our lifetimes, and early reports are saying that there may even be hundreds of thousands of lives lost.
As Americans, it is our duty to help this unfortunate nation recover from this terrible ordeal. As attorneys and as people committed to justice, we have a duty to do everything we can to extend our
concerns with our neighbors in Haiti on the road to recovery and help them out in everyway possible. We must be committed to ensuring that as Haiti struggles to rebuild from this tragedy, the rule of law
is not forgotten as the country struggles to somehow go on. It is in devastating times like these where we are reminded of our critical roles as attorneys in providing law, order, and stability amongst a
society in chaos and disrepair.
I hope you will join with me in pledging your support to help in the humanitarian aid efforts currently underway. Please click on the links below where you can make a donation through several different
relief agencies. Any amount would be appreciated as Haiti now begins to rebuild its nation.
I thank you for your concerns and commitment to helping Haitians recover from this terrible tragedy. The people of Haiti need all that we can give right now, plain and simple.
Sincerely,

Michael A. Haggard
FJA President
